Awards Afternoon & Evening - Saturday 16 September

Training sessions with Antony James, in the afternoon, are as follows. Please turn up at the relevant time for your appropriate training squad.

13:00 – 14:30 : Top Squad
14:30 – 15:30 : Early Squad
15:30 – 16:00 : Learn to Swim (Stages 6-8)
16:00 – 16:30 : Learn to Swim (Stages 3-5)

The awards evening will be open for all at 18:00. We will start the awards presentation from 19:00 – depending on how long the “float” signing takes.

Qualification times for the 2018 Kent County Championships have now been released.

Updated PB and Kent Automatic and Consideration time sheets (11 September 2017) are now posted in our Members Area.

East Invicta Championships 2017

Information pack, programme and entry form now available within meet calendar.

Entries are subject to both UPPER AND LOWER (CONSIDERATION) TIMES. The UPPER limit times mean that you cannot enter an event in which you have swum faster than the published time.

Raffle Donations - Annual Awards Evening

As you know we will be having our annual Awards night on Saturday 16th September and we look forward to seeing you there.

We will be having a raffle during the evening and would be grateful for any donations for this. Also, if you know of any local companies who might offer raffle prizes, please let us know.

Donations can be left at the desk on a Tuesday evening from 29th August, or handed to one of us.

Learn to Swim Returns - Tuesday 29th August 2017

A reminder, that Learn to Swim returns and all normal times for Early, Late & Performance squads will resume week commencing 28th August.

ATSC Summer Shutdown - Week Commencing 31st July

The club had been trying to tie up the summer shutdown with any repair works that ALT would be making to the pool, but investigations are still ongoing so we will stick with our standard shutdown times. Complete shutdown is week commencing 31st July.

Early and Late Squads will return week commencing 14th August. Usual times for  Monday (19:30-21:30), Tuesday and Thursday (19:00-21:30). Sunday will be a joint session from 18:00-20:00. There will be no Sunday technique session (16:00-17:00).

Learn to Swim returns and all normal times will resume week commencing 28th August.

Sunday 16 July – Session 4

The final session of our Club Championships takes place tomorrow (16 July). The sign-in desk will be open from 3.30pm and close at 4.00pm prompt, when warm up commences. Please ensure that you bring suitable footwear (flip flops/crocs) and a top (ATSC club t-shirt or similar).

Thank You - 2017 AGM & Summer Fun Evening

Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM and Summer Fun Night last night.

Also, thank you to everyone who has filled a role. The current vacant roles are SwimMark (previously Swim21) Coordinator and Publicity Officer if anyone is interested. The SwimMark Coordinator is ideally a Committee position but I’m sure we can work with you to accommodate if that will prove challenging?

I hope everyone enjoyed the food and the rounders game against the swimmers … as usual the coaches and adults won the 1st game 8 rounders to 7 … the 2nd game we didn’t get to beat you again swimmers … we were just finding our form when our ages and poor light started to play against us 😂😂

The AGM is the key annual meeting for the club to ensure that we have all posts filled to help move the club forwards for the benefit of all swimmers. The AGM will start prompt at 19:00. The AGM format does not support AoB questions. If you have a question you would like to put forward please submit in writing to Stuart Moss c/o ashford.town@swimclubmanager.co.uk by Wednesday 21st June.

Session 1 (6 May 2017) – Warm up at 1:30pm, Start at 2:30pm
Session 2 (6 May 2017) – Warm up at 5.00pm, Start at 6.00pm
Session 3 (7 May 2017) – Warm up at 9.15am, Start at 10.15am
Session 4 (7 May 2017) – Warm up at 12.45pm, Start at 1:45pm

East Invicta Development Gala - Accepted Entries & Hosting Session 2

All ATSC entries to the East Invicta Development Gala on 6 and 7 May have been accepted.

ATSC are hosting Session 2 on Saturday 6 May. A reminder email has been sent out to swimmers of all parents attending this gala. If your child is swimming in this session then your help is required.

Warm up for Session 2 commences at 5.00pm. The host club needs to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to this warm-up time (for us this will be no later than 4.30pm).

Black Lion Development Gala

Well done to our team of swimmers who participated in the first development gala of 2017 at Black Lion on 22 April. An unexpected win for us… it was a great team effort with plenty of PBs. It was great to see everyone encourage and support each other; a fantastic team spirit.

The trophy will be at the club on Tuesday 25 April for those who would like a photo with it. We will sort a rota out for you all to have it for a week or so.

BPSC Easter Meet 2017 - Accepted Entries and Warm Up & Sign In

All ATSC entries to the BPSC Easter Meet 2017 have been accepted. Please see PDFs below for further information.

Please note that you will have to sign-in for your races.

Signing in will close 45 minutes before the start of the event.

Time Trials - Sunday 12 March 2017

A reminder that the next ASA Speed Award Time Trials will take place this Sunday, 12 March.

Start is at 4.00pm prompt. Please print off the attached form and bring it along with you. You must have sign-off from your Teacher/Coach to dive off block or the side, otherwise an in-water start will be necessary.

The results from the previous time trial in December are posted in our Member Only area of the club website.
