Competition Squad
Overview
Our Competition Squad is the standard entry squad for senior swimmers.
The aim of the squad is to deliver a performance pathway for simmers through Kent County Championships, South East Regional Championships and onto National Championships.
Swimmers will be training an enhanced IM programme where their core strokes are developed to the maximum.
There will also be strong emphasis on starts, turns and finishes as well as underwater sessions.
On a regular basis swimmers will be assessed on attendance, behaviour, training and competitive performance to ensure progress is being made to expected towards goals.
Core Sessions
Due to the relatively limited pool time available, Core sessions are defined for all squads.
For this Squad all sessions are defined as Core sessions:

| Friday | ||
| Saturday | ||
| Sunday | 17:30 - 19:30 | Stour Centre - Main Pool |
Swimmers are expected to attend at least 85% of all the above sessions over a rolling three month period.
Swimmers can add optional training in addition to the Core sessions. These are by invitation after application.
On a regular basis swimmers will be assessed on attendance, behaviour, training and competitive performance.
